Tired Havanese

So Its Midnight and I just went to the bathroom. And NO dogs followed me.
I waited and no pitter patter of footsteps. I come back, and they are laid out on the floor. They do raise their head and look at me, but go back to sleep.

I think they are trying to tell me something. haha. Time to go to bed. Not easy having a night owl mom.

So in the morning Stogie will wake me up one of two ways. He will either come up right next to my face and lick my ear, or he will bring me a toy and
sit on my chest purrrrrrring. Its cute and I am glad he thinks morning doesn't come until about 8:30.

Goldie would sleep until noon if I let her, she is a mamas girl. I can take her out to potty and she will go back to bed. Stogie has the bladder of champions he can hold it forever.

A useless thread, but I'm not sure the last time I went to the bathroom alone. It was kinda sad.

Ha ha ha - Martha and Tinky are passed out on the floor next to me as I email my mom on the other side of the world. Hillary already gave up and went to bed in Britt's room more than an hour ago.

These babies are precious, aren't they?

(I should go look to find Piaget & Rigatoni!!!! They are completely absent from the picture and I think Grandma put them to sleep in the living room tonight. LOL)

No.... it is really true! I was at a friend who has a havanese home and we were about to leave. She went to use the restroom and her dogs were howling and going absolutely crazy. She came out very embarassed and said you can tell I never shut the door, can't you!!!

Dora has an awesome bladder too but she gets so excited when the light comes up and will paw at your face. As long as I take them out and get back in bed and keep a fan on, they will usually go back to bed but I am pretty awake by that time!

Amanda, the howling is funny.

My dogs prefer that I don't latch the door so they can stick their noses in and leave (to make sure I'm not starting the bath for them), but they don't usually freak out if I'm inside the bathroom alone.

I know what you guys mean. It's like Skiver thinks I can't go to the bathroom alone; like I need help or something.
Even though I've been doing fine for over 40 years......

Kodi sits behind the toilet bowl and Shelby sits by my feet. If I tried to shut the door, I'd have 2 pups with concussions

Kodi wakes me up by licking my eyes. Shelby needs dynomite to get her up.
Then it's lots of belly rubs (for the pups, not me)

That's funny Kimberly. My dogs do the bath check thing too. Cru ALWAYS comes with me to the bathroom, and then if he can tell I am about to start getting ready in there in the mornings, he goes under the vanity to get comfy and just leaves the tip of his nose sticking out. BUT if that bathwater starts, ALL the dogs go into stealth mode. They become instantly invisible.
Once I found Cru hiding in the laundry chute.

HAHAHA Thats funny! I love how they know you are about to get ready.

We live in a gated neighborhood. When someone comes over the guard calls the house phone to see if its ok. We never use our house phone, just our cells. Now every time the house phone rings, the dogs run to the front door barking. They know if someone is calling, someone will soon be visiting. They are so smart.

Awww, I can just see them doing that. Goldie is probably afraid it might be Cru coming over to pee on her Princess bed again.
