what size crate should I get???

My husband and I have a difference of option about this. We are talking about the crate that she will be in at night and during the day if we leave her.

My husband says we should get her a crate 22"

I was going to get her a 30"

We both want the "den" feeling but he thinks that 30 is way to big. I am afraid 22" might be to small.... that is for a 1-12lb dog. she will be around 10-11lbs.
I think he might be right but I thought I would see what size other people have!

Please help

Miss Coco...(Tina)

I have the 24" x 19" size and it has worked out well for me. It helps to have a divider to make it smaller when they first come home. I have two wire crates, one upstairs for sleeping and one downstairs. I keep a blanket on the upstairs one to make it more den-like for bedtime.

Emmie has always preferred a plastic crate to a wire one. I bought a small crate when she was a puppy and then when she was older (and potty trained) I bought her a bigger one. It's important that your puppy doesn't have too much room (in the crate) at first; there should only be enough room to sleep in. Having a crate that's too large can lead to your puppy soiling in it.
