New puppy for senior Dog?

Hi
We have a eleven year old male Havanese and are thinking of getting a another puppy but we are a little concerned about his reaction. He gets along fine with our cat but is timid around dogs. I see the pictures of other Havanese playing with each other and would love for him to have that. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks Winni

hard to say. Senior dogs sometimes get set in their ways . A good test might be to foster.

I have thought of that but thought that a puppy might be easier for him to get use to.

depends on the puppy as well as the foster . If you are going to do it though , I wouldn' t wait any longer. The older he is the more chances are that it would be too stressful on him. A lot of it comes down to him. He might adjust fine ,but if he doesn't ,you have a tough situation.

Oh! you're only about 90 mins south of me
If you'd like to arrange a playdate Todd would be more than happy to play...lol He's great with other dogs but is still puppy hyper and will annoy your Ozzy just like a little puppy would..might be a good test run?

That sounds like fun. Maybe after the holidays we could do that.

After the Holidays I just may have two Hav's to annoy Ozzy with.
Sounds like a plan
