Changes in coat

Just wondering-- my Lola is two years old and groomed regularly and combed daily. She is leaving small wads of hair on the floor--- is this common? She also has gone from curly to fuzzy--- again is this normal?

I don't have any real answers for you but I'm not sure there is a "normal" for Havs when it comes to hair! I've heard they don't get their adult coat until 2 - 3 yrs. so maybe this is her new coat coming in. Any other ideas anyone?

Wow - very interesting
Button is 1 yr old but I have noticed the 'fuzzy' in parts of his coat.

Glad to hear I am not alone.

No worries

Has her hair been cut really short before?

I noticed that Mimi's hair started to grow out crinkly/wavy when they cut her hair extremely short at the groomers (after I told them not to.)

I really can't help you on this subject but I do know that my two litter mates have different hair. One tangles easily and the other one (white) stays fluffy and doesn't mat up. Of course the one that doesn't need brushed so much always tries to get in and actually walks under and leans into the brush. Same thing with my Saint Bernard and Newfoundland. The newfie needed brushed and the Saint did not but the Saint loved it and the Newfie hated it. Both dogs that love being brushed are mostly white and the ones that hate it are mostly black.

Trudy, mom to Einstein,Watson and Griffin too!
