Puzzle games for dogs

With the wintry weather reducing our outdoor play time, I have brought out the dog puzzle games. Our pup Ruby is a fast learner! Where our Cairn Terrier just paws at the game haphazardly until the treats are eventually revealed, Ruby is methodical and focused and solves each puzzle in turn.

We have quite a few of these types of games but I like this one the best because it is inexpensive but sturdy and challenging but not frustrating.

Do others play these kind of games including the Nina Ottosson games?

I have a few, but Kodi learned them so fast that they weren't very effective. He learned how to manipulate them and find the cookies in no time. I should pull them out for the girls, though. They'd probably enjoy them for at least a little while!

I got one for Sophie for her birthday but we've been so busy haven't opened it for her yet. Didn't know about the Nina Ottosson games will look into those!

Yes, same with Ricky. I got him one of those puzzle balls for his birthday two weeks ago. It took him 30 minutes to solve the puzzle the first time. Then he had it down and it takes him 5 to 10 minutes to get the cookie out now. He learned the first time that he has to roll over on his back and hold the ball over his head and the cookie falls to the bottom and he can work it out with his tongue.

I hate it when my dog is smarter than I am!
