OUTRAGEOUS!

I know. Cutest thing ever. Her name is Bella. She is a malti- poo. She is eight months old now.. AND. Her owner is one of my best friends. She got her for her birthday eight months ago. Bella is beautiful and looks like the perfect little puppy eh? Well.. I just had a fight with my best friend because Bella is not house trained at all, does not know basic obedience and does not even know her name. She recently injured her leg, the vet said she needed surgery but since my friend thinks that she is walking "fine", they decided not to get the surgery. Can you picture the health of this little girl? What do people suggest I do to help convince her to hire a trainer, train her herself and get the surgery!?

Remember, I am 15, still wanting a dog (hav) since september for my birthday in march! Look what im trying to do! They wont even help her health...

She IS adorable, but yes, I see where there's a problem. The best you can do is continue to encourage your friend to get the proper training. Puppies dont' raise themselves and the little time and effort she will put into this little girl's training now, the better she'll enjoy her for those very long 10-15 years to come! It's a no-brainer. Your friend just needs to finally understand that for her and for the puppy's own good.

Good luck !

She is VERY immature about it. I am video chatting with her now and her dog just pooped on her floor and shes leaving it there until her mom comes home to clean it up! Now she is just leaving bella be.. Uch. I want my dog so badly, I know i'd be an amazing owner..

This is a really hard situation because poor training is one thing but health issues are another. Since you are having trouble getting through to your friend perhaps you would like to try a very careful and helpful talk with her mother expressing your concerns. If you go about it the right way, her mother will hear sincere concern for the well being of the dog which shouldn't upset her too much?!?!

It just goes to show you that not everyone is cut out for pet ownership.

I feel your pain.
