More new clothes

While we're waiting to get Kodi's snowsuit sorted out, the temperature has been d-r-o-p-p-i-n-g and it's been really windy. Kodi has clearly been uncomfortable outside, even long enough to go pee, let alone staying out long enough to find the perfect poop spot or go for a walk.

I was in one of our local independent dog/cat supply stores (Especially for Pets for those of you in MA) I found a nice warm coat that fits Kodi really well. It won't solve the snow problem, but it's perfect for the cold blustery weather we're having now. I put it on and Kodi happily went out for as long a walk as _I_ was willing to stay out for!

The way it is constructed makes it easy to get a good fit. There is a T strap that goes between the front legs then wraps up over the back with velcro. It also has elastic leg straps, but I let him run around inside the house with it on for a while, and it didn't shift at all, even with just the front T-strap done up.

He also looks really cute in it!...

That is a great coat! And such a good boy modeling it.

I put a sweater on Murray for the first time since we got him. I don't think he had ever worn one before. He did the limp dog routine on my, just like when I'm grooming him. Then he went and tried to hide under the quilt with DH, like he was embarrassed or something! I thought he looked cute....I took some pictures, but haven't uploaded them yet.

I guess he'll get used to it if I keep on putting them on him.

Kodi's very handsome in his new threads. I wish it got cold enough here for clothes.

Six months ago, if anyone had EVER told me I'd be buying dog clothes I would have laughed at them. But I'm learning quickly that Neezer hair is not much in terms of weather protection! It soaks up water like a sponge, attracts snow like a magnet, and is so soft and fine that when the wind blows, it parts their fur right down to the skin.

I thought that keeping a Neezer comfortable in the summer would be the hard part...
