Update on Murphy...

Hello, all! Murphy is adjusting very well to our new routine. He goes to doggy daycare two, sometimes three, times a week, and absolutely loves it. He's made quite a few puppy friends, and the women who run the daycare are in love with him. Evidently, he's the class clown, and keeps them all entertained during the day. On the days when he's home, he's perfectly content to catch up on his rest, as running and playing all day with other dogs can be exhausting!!

Housebreaking is coming along fine, and the only real mishaps we have are when I'm not paying attention too well. He definitely knows to come and get me when he has to go, but there have been a few times when I've been a bit slow on the uptake, and have suffered the consequences. I have no one but myself to blame in those instances.

He has the sweetest disposition of any dog I've ever had, and I'm truly smitten with him. I've never had so many comments from strangers about what a cute dog he is, or how sweet he seems to be, or how well-behaved he is. He's definitely something special. He even tolerates it when I dress him up in his Christmas collar!!

I'd upload a picture, but I can't seem to figure out exactly how to do that. I'll work on it a bit and see what happens.

Okay...that seemed to work!

He's a doll. And congratulations on having a wonderful dog. What you put in quite often comes out . Glad you are happy with him. And keep up the great work.

Murphy is a cutie, and sounds like he's got a great life, between playing hard with friends and snoozing to catch up on his rest.

What a cutie! I'm glad you were able to upload an updated picture. They change SO much in the first few months!!! I'm partial to the black head/white body color pattern... probably because that's what my Kodi is too! We get the funniest comments on his color. most people are amazed by it... They are even more amazed when I tell them that it seems to be a pretty common Hav color pattern. (I'm really surprised it doesn't have a separate name from from just "parti" because it seems to be a pattern just as distinct as the Irish pied even though all three are all black and white)

The funniest comment I got was when a mom walked by with a tot in a stroller, and the child called out, "Look, Mommy! Someone put the wrong head on that dog!"

These guys certainly worm their way into your heart quickly, don't they?

Very sweet little guy! I love going out with mine because people usually don't recognize the breed and ask a lot of questions, it's fun.

Murphy is all white except for his face and his tush. It's really pretty funny, actually. They daycare has taken videos of all the dogs playing, and Murphy can always be spotted by his little black behind and white tail wagging!

Yes, that's Kodi's pattern too. His head is black except for a little white beard, his body is white (though he is developing belton spotting) and he's got a round white spot just in front of the base of his tail.
