Crufts dog show 2016

A Havanese named CH LARWINSCA LADY GUINEVERE won Reserve (2nd place) in the Toy Group at Crufts this weekend. Picture of her below. Crufts is the world's biggest dog show. A young Westie won best in show.

I've seen that video also it's very disturbing. We are ruining so many of our wonderful breeds. I hope that never happens to Havanese. Doxies are getting more and more deformed all of the time and is why I will never have another one way too many suffer terribly from IVDD (including both of mine and I did everything and then some to protect them from it). It's really sad that dogs with such horrific body types (in many breeds) are not only "accepted", but winning!

This Havanese from Crufts is an absolute doll!

I really don't meant to put this individual down but this is an example of a doxie soooo long, fits the breed standard beautifully! But is not a healthy way for a dog to be!

I am seeing 40 lb longhaired dachshunds in the breed ring winning, and they aren't fat! The size with the long backs and genetic predisposition for IVDD they just don't stand a chance.
