Foamy "spit up" and teething?

Lincoln is actively teething right now (he's 5 months). He lost another tooth overnight - there's another little blood spot and missing tooth on the bottom - at least his 2nd in the past 24-48 hours.

Also, the last 2 mornings, he's spit up a little foamy spot - not throw up like real throw up, but just watery foamy, around the time he wakes up, or shortly after. Also, he has less appetite. Otherwise he seems totally normal, so am thinking it's all related to teething?

Yeah puppies are teething around that age. During this time it is important to encourage the pup to chew on proper chew toys Also encourage it to take part in non contact forms of play such as fetch and play rather than rough games that may lead to nipping. I think teething does affect the appetite in some dogs.

Foaming at the mouth could be him over exerting his energy when he plays too much, but you did mention it was only when he first wakes up. Has he been eating anything in the yard?

Other than that it sounds normal of a teething pup. Try feeding your pup a softer food to help ease the pain. My hav didn't eat much while teething because the kibble was too hard for her, she would just bite it and drop it somewhere, so I switched to soft and started cooking her meals from time to time and she was fine after that. Don't worry, expect to get a whole bunch of his teeth everywhere! Had a friend who saved all her pups teeth in a medicine bottle, but Scully always swallowed hers or something, cause I never found one tooth!
