dog food - what to pick

Well I know there are maybe 100 threads started on food and allergies. However I just canít pick what food I want for my dog. I was told by a friend who works at a vet office and use to work at a pet store that I donít want anything with corn.
This is what I have come up with so farÖ
Brand Calories Feeding Portions top Ingredients 1 2 3
Blue Buffalo Adult Small Breed 492 1-1 1/4 Chicken Barley Rice
Blue Buffalo Adult Lamb n rice 504 1- 1 1/4 Lamb Rice Barley
Wellness Simple Solutions Rice n Lamb 405 1 1/4- 1 1/2 Rice Lamb Canola Oil
Wellness Super 5 mix small breed 420 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 Turkey Chicken Salmon
Solid Gold Barking At the Moon 465 3/4- 1 1/3 Fish Meal Beef Potatoes
Sold Gold Hund n Flocken Adult 367 3/4 - 1 1/3 Lamb Lamb Meal Millet

However he does itch a lot so though I wanted him to go on a small breed they all have chicken. I wanted to put him on lamb. Everything one has told me chicken maybe his problem to biting his feet and itch seeing his food now is nothing but chicken. Also he has a sensitive stomach.

What has worked best for you guys? Maybe my list will help someone else. Or maybe i just love excel to much.

Blue Buffalo has ingredients from China. I vote a big fat NO! As for Solid Gold, I've heard mixed reviews and the manager at our pet food store recommended against it because a lot of customers have complained about loose stools with it. As for the Wellness, Canola Oil is made from corn sooooo yeah.

I vote Orijen 5 Fish - I'm currently switching Roscoe to this from the Orijen Puppy and so far I'm super happy with it and his allergies seem to be getting a bit better and he's not even off the puppy yet! It has no grain in it which I like.

Also the California Naturals Lamb & Brown Rice is really good. Maddie eats the Chicken and Brown Rice, she used to eat the lamb when she was younger. They also have Salmon or Herring and Sweet Potato if you don't want him to be on any grains!
