How many times a month do you bath your dog

Hi

I have a six month old Havanese. I like to bathe her every two weeks or so. I have heard the myth that she will get dry skin.

R for Daisy...

I bath Beamer every 6 weeks or so. As he NEVER smells or gets to dirty, it works well for us. Brushing will remove all sorts of dirt and dead hair, so baths are not needed to often.. (with Beamer anyways)...

I usually bathe Sophie and Gabriel once a month and brush them daily. Sophie somtimes needs a bath every two weeks as she has fine hair and it tends to start looking flat.

Other than that, I'll bath them if they get dirty tearing around the yard as they LOVE to roll in stuff!

I've been bathing Phoebe once every 5-10 days.... This is to keep her long coat sleek and keep down them mats- clean hair is much easier to comb. She's getting a short hairdoo this weekend, and I hope she won't need as many baths after. I also found that the brand of shampoo probably does make a difference in how well the coat stays smooth and clean.

Tori gets brushed/combed on most days and I bathe her every 7-14 days because she sleeps in our bed and will start to smell like dirt (not dog but, dirt) after awhile.

I always use conditioner, and will float her coat periodically. I also use diluted conditioner when I brush her. She's 2.5 yrs. old and I've been doing it this way for quite awhile and she has no dry skin problems.

We do every weekend or every other weekend depending on what she gets into during that time.

We bathe Kodi close to weekly. If we know we want him squeaky clean for a special event, we may stretch things out so he has a bath just before the big day without putting baths closer together than once a week.

I've never seen any signs of dry skin or itchiness, but I do make sure that I use plenty of conditioner after shampooing him, and use diluted conditioner when I groom him each day.

we are pretty much every other weekend. sometimes we can go three weeks and very rarely 4. We let our noses be the judge. And also how they feel. they are just not as snuggly if they are not clean. They do not smell doggy as Leslie says but they do sometimes smell like the great outdoors (this time of year it is sand and salt from the roads) or each other's lovely breath from wrestling each other. Their skin does not look dry but they do scratch, but I have noticed they seem to itch more if we go that extra week between baths... And definitely they stay cleaner with IOD shampoos and conditioners.

I do it every 7-10 days. My guys hike daily and get filthy! If they roll in something, they get bathed more often.
