Do you have a favorite doggy shampoo

What is your favorite doggy shampoo and why? What are the reasons that you would pick it any day?

Our breeder recommended this one and it smells very nice:
EZ Groom Almond shampoo, conditioner

It depends a lot on the dog's coat. You will get ALMOST as many answers to this one as if you ask about food!!!

I don't even use the same products on all of mine. I have become a HUGE fan of Proline Fair Advantage shampoo and conditioner combined for the puppies and dogs in puppy cuts. (this is a CC product) It saves the extra time (and cost!) of applying a separate conditioner, and saves the dog the indignity of getting doused a second time. Karen Collins introduced me to this one. It does a beautiful job on both of mine with (at least at the moment) shorter coats.

I tried it on Kodi too, but found that it just wasn't conditioning enough for his long coat. So I went back to my "old standbys" for him. I shampoo him with either Biogroom Superwhite, or CC. White on White (they work equally well) Then I condition him with CC Spectrum 10. I use to use Biogroom Silk, which also does a good job in terms of conditioning, but has a VERY strong scent. Spectrum 10 is much milder smelling. Also, although a bottle of Spectrum 10 is more expensive than the same size bottle of Silk, the Spectrum 10 is MUCH more concentrated. So I think the Spectrum 10 actually ends up being a little less expensive. (I buy a gallon at a time)

A month or so ago someone was trying a new CC product (new to them anyway) and they were going to review it after having used it for awhile. I don't think it has been reviewed, or I missed it. Dang if I can't remember what it was. All I remember is that it was a CC product and I think if was supposed to have silicone or something in it to help with the matting and snarling. It might have been Karen Collins who posted about it. I think that Karen Krandall also posted in that thread. Anyone familiar with this?

Truffles breeder recommend EZ Groom Almond shampoo too, although we haven't tried it. The groomer uses #1 All Systems Super Cleaning & Conditioning shampoo. After trying different conditioners Pure Paws Silk Basics has been the best for Scout. The groomer spends a lot of time combing completely through their coats with the conditioner. It makes their coats so soft and smells great too.

It may have been the Proline leave-in conditioner Karen (c) mentioned. I found that it was too heavy for Kodi's coat, leaving it feeling tacky and heavy, even when used with a very light hand.

But, as I said, every coat is different, and a product that works well for one, may not for another.

Tom King recommended The Coat Handler many years ago, which I like.
I sometimes use CC Black on Black or Spectrum 10 too.

There's the cat difference thing again too. (and two of my dogs were bred by the Kings) I made the mistake of buying gallon bottles of Coat Handler shampoo and conditioner, and neither did a good job on Kodi's coat. I ended up giving most of both bottles away. I have to say that I DID like the mild smell, and the price is good.

For Rudy, I use Biogroom Fluffy Puppy Tear Free Shampoo and Biogroom Silk Conditioning Creme Rinse. I also use Coat Handler Detangler Spray when I comb him. Very happy with all these products. He has a beautiful coat and feels silky soft. I ordered from Amazon.
