Interesting info Dave! It never used to be this difficult to figure out what and how to feed your dog. Many of my elderly relatives say "we just fed our farm dogs table scraps and they were healthy and lived forever". I think genetics, over (and irresponsible) breeding plus rising environmental toxicities play a big role in todays issues.

Dave,
I would be interested in any information on a complete diet for dogs with liver issues if you come across anything. Not crazy about the low protein commercial diets. Thanks,
Linda

This is something for a professional. I highly recommend Sabine. She does this sort of stuff regularly. She is very reasonably priced. She will ask you all the questions and work out a plan for you. and it can all be done online. Here is her email address . [email protected]

yeah you might catch her if you email shortly if not try Monday as she's heading out for the weekend for a rally competition . Touch base for now if you want. But with liver issues this is the best way to go for sure.

I hear ya. They deserve something that tastes good and healthy. It's the least we can do for them.
