I bought this book a target few months ago and while it is small, it gave me information in a new perspective for training small dogs.

Little Dogs: Training Your Pint-Sized Companion

It has been awhile since I have had a puppy <sigh> so I feel like I am out of the loop!

I just went to the online local library catalog and put 20 or so on hold/order! lol, I can't remember which ones were better than others, but I did get a whole lot of great advice/tips from many of them. And what wasn't covered in the library books....I asked here!

I also went up to Barnes and Noble and ordered a Mocha and sat around and went through the books there. The only books I bought were both havanese ones, the one by D. Klumb and another one that more general in nature, but I wanted the kids to learn about the breed.

Fun times!

There's a book called, The Only Dog Training Book You'll Ever Need, which I thought was very good--all positive. I'm now reading one on Clicker training-no opinion yet. The first one is a little book--reads fast.

I read and liked the Ian Dunbar book. I don't follow it to the letter but I think the advice is sound and makes sense.
