Exclamation Serious Panic Attack!!!

Well, as some of you already know from one of my previous threads, my mom passed away last month after nearly 6 years of living with my DH and I.
(thank you again, Everyone for all of your comforting condolences! )

Anyway, now that we are able to travel, my husband has been planning all kinds of trips coming up these next few months. The dilemma that this has posed is two fold: 1. I have NEVER had to board my fur babies and 2. The dread of leaving them for more than a couple of days has thrown me into a panic attack as "I" am the one who would have to deal with separation anxiety!

I do have a dear friend whom I have regularly dog sat for over these past years and she has taken mine for only a few days (at most) but I was dreading asking her if she could accomodate me for all of these up coming trips, as her DH just retired and they were planning on traveling..MAJOR-MAJOR PANIC ATTACK HERE!

As it turned out I just asked and she said she had NO problem taking care of my neezers!!!! Can you imagine how high I jumped with joy here???
I mean, she even said she would come and stay at our house which would make them all the more less stressed about us leaving AND add to that the fact that Sophie and Gabe just ADORE her and her fur baby, can there be better happy ending??? Any better friend????????

I am so sorry for your loss, Diane. Especially with having been her caretaker for the last few years, I know it has left a void in your life.

I am so happy, though, to read of your travel plans falling into place! That is wonderful and what a great friend, indeed.

Awesome friend, indeed!

BTW~ Should you be heading south for any of your trips, Tori and I would be thrilled to host Sophie and Gabe while you and Rich enjoy yourselves in the area. In fact, if you and he need a place to stay you'd be welcome, too!

Oh, Diane, I'm so glad for you!!! What a huge relief. I know it would be so hard to leave the pups in boarding for a long time or frequently--I'd have seriously considered not going on the trips! Ha!

Well, look forward to these trips, now!

What a wonderful friend!

Diane, that is the BEST news ever! At this stage of my life with my neezers it is so hard to leave them. It was probably much easier when we would leave our kids for a few days! lol To know that your friend will stay with them has to be the best feeling ever!! Yipee.

What a wonderful friend! Due to this type of problem, we very seldom travel except to see DD & family where Abby is welcomed. I know this is a major load off your mspind - now enjoy your trips!

Diane,
That's truly a wonderful friend. You and your DH can enjoy your trips and not worry about the little ones. You'll know that they are in good hands.

That's wonderfull news Diane. I've thought about what I'll do when I visit my kids in Arizona. I'd have to have someone stay at my house and watch the babies. There's no way I'd put the troops in a kennel for a week or more. I'd worry the whole time I was away.

Now you can enjoy your travel.

Diane, that is great news! Sounds to me like you have a wonderful friend and like you did a very good job petsitting for her. I'm so glad this has turned out well for you and you can enjoy your trips.
