Walking a lamb??

My son was out riding his bike and he just ran in the house. "Mom, mom, some lady in the neighbor was walking a lamb on a leash." I was very perplexed and I then I realized it was a Bedlington terrier. I showed Darin the picture and he was a little embarassed. I need to take that kid to a petting zoo. I am looking forward to meeting the "lamb" dog.

cool that you've got one in your neighborhood, but i wouldn't be surprised if it does NOT get along with your dog. these beddlingtons are extremely dog aggressive terriers, or so i've read. look like a lamb, act more like a lion.

That is a Bedlington Terrier. Without knowing the bone structure of a Bedlington Terrier's head, I could groom my Bichon to look like a sheep.

This cracked me up. My daughter has always wanted a Bedlington Terrier - because it looks so much like a lamb

Hmmm, maybe I should look into one of those for DH. He has always talked so fondly of the pet lamb he had as a young boy....and yes, he grew up in a very rural town in the 50's....and it did like to follow him around, just like Mary in the nursery rhyme.

Sally, I grew up in a suburb of Vancouver, BC, in a totally residential area. My mom grew up in the same subdivision, but back in the 50s and 60s when she was a kid, a lot of the area was still farmland. Well, at that time people were allowed to raise certain amounts of livestock, but the codes changed over time. But, when I was a kid there was this ONE house that still had sheep! The same couple had lived there since my mom was a child and had 7 or 8 sheep, we used to go feed them through the fence. I was pretty cool
