Cooling Pads and Other Techniques

Just looked at the weather for our show weekend. It will be high 80s and low 90s. Our ring is "indoor", but it's in a county fair building, so it will be stuffier than it is outdoors. Aside from plenty of cool water, is there anything we can do to keep Nino cool? Friday is going to be a long day for us, and a lot of time spent in the heat. I have been looking at cooling pads, but don't know the first thing when it comes to the best brand. If you have recommendations (pads and otherwise), I would love to hear them.

Sophie, Mario, and Nino.

A lot of cooling mats, including the one I use for agility, depend on being damp to cool. That type obviously isn't a good choice for a dog going into the show ring. So be careful about that. I'd probably opt for a fairly non-fluffy crate mat and a battery operated fan. You can always lightly mist him in front of the fan too.
