Wink Beamers first bath --- with us

Beamers first bath was pretty funny... he was pretty good in the tub.. but was shaking LIKE crazy! Then when we used the hair dryer on him, I think it freaked him out, and he started shaking again.. poor beamer..

Do your guys shake?

Pepper shakes when we use the dryer. We use the Kool Dryer which doesn't have a heat setting, but it's really powerful. I have to use it on a low, low setting or else Pepper tries to climb up our arms and over our shoulders to escape the air blast.

He's not too happy about the bathing part either, but he handles it pretty well.

The hair dryer scared Gucci the first few times, but she did get used to it and now it doesn't bother her. She's too focused on the treats she's getting. lol

He looks so cute!

Izzy shakes with the dryer....You'd think she'd be used to it by now. At first I thought she was cold, but it's hot out now and she still shakes. I bathe her once a week and she's still not comfortable with the blow dryer, but she tolerates the bath.

Well it sounds successful! The first time I used the hair dryer on Dora after the bath, she got scared and peed all over! So it was a second bath. We had to slowly get her used to the hair dryer To this day at the dog shows when she hears those powerful blow dryers, she freaks out. I hate when the grooming areas are next to the performance rings!!!

My girls leave the house when I pull out the grooming table! McKenna scoots out the doggie door and turns around and looks in. You can just see her eyes above the metal piece. Steve calls it her "Kilroy was here" pose....(for those of you who are familiar with that phrase).

Our pup got his first bath from us last weekend (he'll likely get another one this weekend - we'd like to get him used to it while he's smaller and easier to handle). He did a lot of shaking, a lot of whimpering and a lot of trying to climb out of the rubbermaid container we used as his doggie bathtub. He did not like the hair dryer AT ALL, so we decided the bath was sufficient trauma and let him air dry.

Awwww, that's a great pictures Ryan - The first time I bathed Oreo, I was so surprised at how much of them is hair!! They are so tiny. But I always love the RLH they do after they are all nice and clean and fluffy
