My heart is so full right now. We had a run through tonight, and Nino did wonderfully. He looked better than some major pointed dogs! As we were walking out, I came to the sinking realization that I had locked my keys inside the car with a dead phone. I walked back in the building and called my dad, who's out of town, to get a hold of momz, who was in a meeting about 30 minutes away, then I went outside and waited.
Almost an hour after our run through had ended, they finished closing up our training center and a staff member came out to keep us company with her wonderful pit bull (who Nino joyfully pestered). There was no sign of a ride for me, and she didn't feel comfortable leaving me as it was getting dark out in a part of town with lots of teenage hooligans. She loved on Nino, did some training with him, and showed us her pit's fun tricks. We chatted about everything from dogs to school to mosquitoes. The situation was less than ideal, but she made me totally comfortable with it. She even let us take cover from the bugs a bit by sitting on her tailgate.
She offered her phone to make some calls, and I finally got a hold of momz. She was still a half hour away, and it was after 9 o clock. The trainer and I had figured out that we live in the same city through our conversation, and she offered me a ride home, which I accepted. I must have done something really good recently, because karma was on my side tonight. She went so above and beyond to help me out, and they made me a forever client of theirs. She absolutely could have left me (I insisted she did multiple times...it's the Minnesota way) or not even approached me in the first place, but the fact that she did shows such kindness and care that it made me a bit emotional. I haven't seen it on that level in awhile.
Just wanted to share my wonderful experience with out amazing training center with you all
