Sick 4 Times in an Hour

Hi All. It's Saturday Night into Sunday Morning. My Wife called me at work to report that Radar had vomited four times in the span of roughly one hour. We're not sure what it could be???

It's 4:33 a.m. as I type this and he is sleeping right now and My Wife has him in his Crate so he'll feel secure. I'm thinking that it could be something he may have gotten into since he's always on the floor looking for stuff. He all of a sudden began getting sick an hour ago. He was great when I left for work at about 11:20 p.m. Then at about 3 a.m. or so he began heaving and then vomited four times.

My Wife's Hair tends to fall out alot since it's so long and Radar eats it off the floor. We've even found in in his stool. I'm not sure if that's what it could be. I told her that a dog getting sick is usually because they have gotten into something they shouldn't have and this if the his way of getting rid of it because it could ne harmful. I told her to put him in his crate for now and keep an eye on him and to keep it dark for him so he can sleep. Hopefully it isn't serious. I'll keep Everyone updated but of course we'll be gone for a couple of days so I think he should be good for now. maybe he'll sleep in the car most of the way.

Derek,

I'm usually not up this late, but my kids are up playing video games as well as my husband ~ summer deal I guess. Anyway I just read about Mango with Ryan and then saw your posting with Radar. Good advice for your wife to put him in his crate to sleep. They feel much more secure in their crates especially if not feeling well. He probably did get into something as they can find things off the floor so quickly. I bet he will be fine and better after sleeping. All the best with you three on your short trip and I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.

Take care,
Libby

Thanks for the concern. Radar may have eaten something off the floor that was bad for him I'm not sure. I'm at work right now and won't see him for an hour or so. I think the worst of it is over though. He was sleeping when My Wife called me with the news. I think he knew he had eaten something bad and was getting rid of it..Thank God.

Thanks

I hope Radar is feeling better this morning.

Gucci got sick and vomited once. I suspected it was a bite of grilled tuna my husband gave her, and it seemed to resolve itself. She was fine the next day. If it continues, I would definately call the vet!

Make sure he drinks LOTS of water! When she's not drinking enough water, I give it her bottled water. She thinks that's such a *treat*! lol

But they really can get into so much on the floor! Seems like I am forever picking up things of the floor that she is putting into her mouth. Like a toddler!

Well My Wife didn't call me all night since I got the first call so that's good news and she was up all night as well so she would have been watching Radar in his Crate. I think we have seen the worst for now. I will keep updates for everyone. Personally I think Radar just ate something foreign and it didn't agree with him which is pretty good for us that he expelled it rather quickly.

Thanks

Derek
