Concerned...vet visit today.

First time in 7 months Tucker is not feeling well. We had a gathering Saturday and my stepson and girlfriend were in with their puppy since Tuesday. Our family brought two other older dogs Saturday. They all played together well. Tucker slept all Saturday night. He was really lethargic yesterday and did not want to play at all. We chalked it up to tiredness. He has been out of his normal routine since Tuesday. He is eating (although not with the vigor he normally does) but acting like the kibble hurts his mouth. He is licking his front feet and everything else (my shirt while laying with me yesterday, our hands, etc.) and just acting like he is pooped out. He just wants to sleep all the time. I am wondering if maybe he ate something if it was dropped on the floor by the kids or something else like a bite or sting when outside. 2 pm vet check today. Gotta find out what is wrong with my buddy. He is acting really out of it. He doesn't seem to hurt anywhere and nothing seems to be injured when you handle him. He just acts lethargic. Anyone else had this issue?

I hope Tucker is ok. Hopefully it is just the change in routine and excitement of the other dogs that has him out of sorts. Does he still have any retained baby teeth and/or adult teeth coming in? That could be a reason for his mouth bothering him. Good that you are having him checked out though so you will have peace of mind.

They pulled the two upper canines when he was neutered and chipped several weeks ago. I'm thinking all the teeth are in but could be wrong. His teeth are really nice the way they came in. He just is not acting like the crazy puppy we know.

Hope tucker gets his energy back quick, mj!
Sofie was feeling puny for a couple days after her last vaccination and it was like I was without my best bud.

Follow your instincts about how Tucker is feeling/acting. I am so glad I did when Loki was really lethargic. I was worried about being an overprotective first time puppy owner, but as a result we caught Parvo early and he is doing great. I won't forget that lesson!

Please be sure to update us on your little Tucker. Hope it's a quick fix and he's back to feeling well ASAP.
