Funny ways

Ruby has developed a funny habit where my husband has to carry her outside if she needs to go potty when I am in the room. If I am not there he just calls her and she willingly follows him to the back door but if I am in the room she arches her back to be picked up and carried out. It probably started when she was a new puppy and didn't want to be parted from me but now it has become hardwired. Luckily my husband doesn't mind.

That's too cute. Mine have a couple quirky habits that crack me up. Love these doggies.

Really cute. Shama prefers that we all three go outside together. If my husband or I try to stay behind, she won't go out. We have to fake her out by all walking out and then one of us rushing back in, but, even then, she doesn't usually buy it. When we get to the stairs to go from the deck down into the yard, if one of us is in front, she looks back at the other until they come too. We don't mind. We are enjoying our summer vacation with her, but in August, we'll all go back to reality where my husband and I return to our teaching jobs, and our dog walker comes to visit Shama around noon every day. We're getting an exchange student from Norway this year, so that will be really fun for Shama. (Our student has four rabbits but no dog, so we weren't sure she'd like Shama, but when we emailed her about Shama, including some photos, she wrote back to say, "I've always wanted a dog!") BTW, if anyone has ever considered hosting an exchange student for the year, AFS is an excellent program, and they still need host families for this year. We hosted a Swiss girl through AFS in 2014-15.

I love it!
Kati learned to turn her back to me and arch so I can pick her up. She used to just run and jump into my arms until she jumped through them and over me. It was horrible. She has not jumped at me since.
She now runs up and turns around and scoots back until I lean down then she arches her back to help me pick her up.
I love these crazy dogs! They are so smart.
thought I'd add a pic since I love seeing everyone else's pooches
