Incredible once in a lifetime opportunity last 2 days. I and the other 5 artists in the film (6 when you count Hallie
) were treated VERY well by Animal Planet and were flown to LA for the Television Critic’s press tour, and Brian Golden Davis's documentary panel "Million Dollar Duck" which will be aired on Animal Planet Sept 14 9 pm PST.
I am so thankful that Hallie and I were included in this project, it's been an amazing journey and feel honored to be in with a group of such talented artists. Tim Taylor, Adam Grimm, Rob McBroom, Rebekah Knight.
We got to play movie star for a couple of days, interviews, photos, wined and dined, party, got to stay at the Beverly HILTON hotel....my room was just a few doors down from the one that Whitney Houston passed away in. So sad. (see pic below)
We we're chauffeured to and from airports, had hair and makeup done by celebrity makeup artists, (I noticed I was in there longer than everyone else combined even into the start of the panel...hmmm LOL). First time in fake eyelashes! My makeup person was telling me about all of the celebrities she works on including Betty White. Saw a few celebrities, got to meet many people behind Animal Planet and everyone of them were SO nice. They really do love animals there.
Never would have dreamed to be part of something like this and of course especially special to have Hallie part of it also. The film is great if you get a chance to see it in September.
I did miss the fun there on Sunday because I was afraid to leave Sophie more than one night at home, but her sitter and aunt Kelli Hightower was awesome with her and put up with me calling several times a day. I was really afraid she'd get sick again with me gone but very happy that she did great! Very happy to see me when I got home, she wanted to play like ALL night...she kept bringing me all her toys as if to say "remember this one mom? Oh and this one too!". She even got me up early this morning by shoving a toy in my face then taking off to the back door as soon as she saw I was awake so of course followed her out and played until she decided she could take a nap. <3 I really wanted to take her to LA with me but was afraid to this close to her being sick. Thankfully had a great village here watching her for me.
