Blue Buffalo Food

Hi everyone

Just curious, I have been feeding Blue Buffalo dog food for a long while now. I will also be putting our new puppy on that food as well. They used to be a hard to find brand, but now they are getting way more popular and easier to find. Wondering if any of you use this food and if not what foods you all like and recommend?

In my area, I know it is readily available at PetSmart. Sorry, I can't offer any input; pros or cons.

The only thing that worried Pam about it was that it has chicken from China in it. She went to Detroit to get back a dog from a broken home who the wife didn't have time to look after anymore because she went from being a housewife to working two jobs. Anyway, long story short, he had been fed Blue Buffalo since he left here as a puppy and his coat was AMAZING and in fine health otherwise too.

That's one of the brands I haven't tried -- yet. Right now my troops are loving the Fromm's four star series. They've tried the Pork and applesauce and chicken a la veg so far. I also bought the duck and sweet potato. I've never seen all of them relish every morsel in the their plates and beg for more.

I've tried Innova, Wellness, Taste of the Wild, Nutro and Bil-Jac and so far this is the best (for them).

The one that I feed is the Blue Buffalo Longevity. It's main ingredient is fish. I truly have never had any problems with Izzy turning her nose up at it or the canned varieties. Her coat is beautiful and she doesn't even get dry skin, not even when we had the 2 back to back blizzards and the heat was running constantly.

With that kind of experience I would stick with it if I were you.

Abby has been eating Blue Buffalo for almost two years now. She is a healthy and happy girl who eats her food immediately when it is offered twice a day. She has the chicken & brown rice formula. I've never seen the fish recipe but I will look for it for a change of pace. We have to go out of town to get to a Pet Smart!

Tractor Supply even sells it now. They have increased the number and quality level of dog foods they carry.

We have a Tractor Supply here and I checked with them. They don't carry the Blue Buffalo for small breeds. I even asked them if they could order it for me and they wouldn't!

Hi Kathie

I am from SE Georgia too! Just living in VA at the moment because we are military. The Blue food that my dogs eat is the Longevity line, it has fish as the main protein in the puppy, adult and mature stages. It does not advertise it on the outside of the bag, I saw that after I had purchased it. Where in SE Georgia are you? I am from the ST. Simons/Brunswick area and I know the have a petsmart and a pet supplies plus that care the Blue Buffalo line.
