Urinating Frequency??

Hey everyone,

My little girl has been doing really well as of recently...she has finally decided that she loves to eat on a regular schedule and she's going to the bathroom on the pee-pads very consistently.

However, this evening she went pee about 4 times in a matter of about 4 hours. I'm concerned that she might have a Urinary Infection...but I wanted to see if anyone of you have had this problem ? The urine stains seem perfectly normal on the pads...and she doesn't seem to be having any discomfort...but of course I want to take all precautions.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Bladders are little.

When Dexter was a puppy, he was taken out every 45 minutes (Timer set) or he would have an accident in the house. The time going outside was slowly lengthen out over months, then there was a time, I did even think about potty training.....Dexter would tell me when he wanted to go outside.

Dexter still drinks a lot of water, that I had to switch over from the bottle drip container to a bowl when he was little, because I felt he was not getting enough water. We are still using the bowl for water.

Your pup is still a pup right? They expend lots of energy and the get thirsty and with the thirst comes the potty challenges

When I first read your post I thought it seemed fine b/c she looks like a puppy in the photo... But if she's 1-1/2 years old you might want to watch her more closely. It could be nothing, once an hour isn't all that bad....maybe she drank a lot and played and just had to go. Lola is 9 months and will go every hour sometimes.

When you take her for a walk does she pee more frequently than usual? My previous dog had chronic bladder infections and the first sign is that she would start to pee more frequently on her walks. Then we would notice blood in her urine [not to scare you, b/c she had a long history of bladder stones & other issues]. She never showed any signs of discomfort and didn't ask to go out more so.
