unbelievable, i cannot believe it!!

walking 2 dogs has never been a pleasure for me.
mugsy wants to be in front and kaylie wants to be behind.
i use 2 leashes and they always seem to get me tangled up in them.

along with being picky eaters, walking has been the number one negative about having 2 havs.

little did i know that was all about to change...

yesterday there was a marathon of ceser millan's tv show about training dogs and i watched a few episodes.
he talked about energy and being the leader of the pack. he made noises when he did a gentle tug on the leash and did not speak when correcting a dog. i noticed he walked faster than i do when walking a dog.

so today, i started out with a new energy, walked faster, made a noise when leash correcting and just 'felt' like the pack leader...and d a m n if it all didn't work!!

both dogs walked beside me, kept pace and not once did i get tangled. it took 2 corrections for mugsy to stay along side me and then i noticed he was watching me looking for direction. kaylie was fine from the start.

i love that man!

greetings from mugsy & me

I agree that one of the big negatives of two dogs is walking them, i don't enjoy walking my two dogs either, I usually wait until DH will join us.

I am a huge fan of Cesar, I also try to speak as little as possible and instead give the look or make the sound. They get it quickly. I walk all four of mine at a time, by using a double coupler attached to the leash. It really easier using only 1 leash per 2 dogs.

Cesar is the man. Just wish my husband would take note. He is litter mate to Rosie. Course he was the same with the children. I did all the correcting. If I ever get a maile dog, I'll name him Cesar.

That was great!

You can go to Cesar's website and view past episodes. I like it that you can search per category. Agression, shy, walking, etc.
