Comfortis

Just wondering if any of you give your Havs Comfortis pills for fleas? I typically give Izzo Frontline topspot on his back but decided to try the Comfortis. Cassie has taken it this past year and has eaten it well and does fine. Izzo did not want to eat his pill. I had to cut it up and wrap it in little pieces of cheese. When the pill was whole he spit it out on the floor and rolled on it. It was kind of comical actually. I finally got it down. I hope he does ok and it doesn't upset his tummy.

I gave them last fall for their last flea treatment. OMG they were high priced, if I remember correctly it was around $35 for each dog. I put them in some raw meat and down they went.

WOW, are you sure they were $35 a piece or $35 total for both dogs. I just looked on my receipt and Izzo's monthly dose was $13.50, Cassie's was $15.50. I wrapped Izzo's in some cheese and he ate it but he wouldn't have anything to do with it by itself. Cassie gobbles hers up with no problem. Wanted to say- hope things are going well with the dog trainer. I can't imagine how hard that has been.

I use Comfortis. I cut it up into 4 pieces, bury it in a piece of that Natural Balance roll, and Santos eats it up.

It's GREAT food for training treats... you can cut it up in any size, and most dogs love it. You CAN use it as a complete diet, but we just use it for treats.

You can get it at Petco for sure, I _think_ I've seen it at Petsmart too. Our local small dog supply shop also carries it.

Comfortis doesn't cover tick control, does it? I use Frontline plus but the next day their hair is matted in the area that I applied it. I would love something easier on the coat but it has to cover ticks.

Sharlene, the box just says it kills fleas...nothing about ticks.
