Probiotics

here's some more on probiotics .Note that she really doesn't recommend probiotics that are already added to foods. Use a quality supplement. and especially one that is good for extended shelf life. Purchasing Probiotics for Dogs and Cats - Pet Food Diva

Thanks, again, Dave. I'm going to print that off and go over the ingredients of mine.

Sophie is now on three probiotics to cover more strains, yet having a bad morning lots of pain won't eat . I gave her an extra dose of tylosin, famotadine and her usual herbs plus the mint tea ice cubes I make. She is more comfortable now but this does seem to be never ending. Will give her tramadol if pain gets worse but sure hate loading her tiny body with these drugs all the time.

We did nothing different other than went to visit my cousin yesterday she had a ball exploring and visiting, I'm 1000% positive she did not eat anything so am suspecting just the excitement of having fun set it off.

Dee Dee, did you use the Slippery Elm and the Marshmallow Root tea, too? I am pleased with how that seems to help (at least a smidgeon,) for Tucker. I just made some more up for today.

I am so sorry Dee Dee! My heart hurts for you and Sophie, bless her little heart. I hesitate to question or make suggestions to people I don't know too well, but have you thought about or have you already taken Sophie to an internist vet. Washington State University, as you probably already know, is one of the countries leaders in veterinary care. In my experience, they are less than or comparable in cost to the local vets we have here. Maybe there is something that is being missed with Sophie. I TOTALLY believe in the holistic approach to animal care, but maybe they can do biopsies or whatever on her digestive tract and find something that'll make sense outa all her symptoms. Our experience with them has been, they are very impressive! Just a thought! You might talk with your vet or I do have the phone number of their scheduler and if you PM me, I would be happy to share it with you. She can point you to the correct department.

You could stop here in the Tri Cities and stay with me and Layla too, it is a long drive!

Awww...poor little Sophie. I hope this is a short bout and that she's back to her funny little self very soon.

Dee Dee I just noticed Sophie's tail is down in the "Spot of tea..." thread. I know Lola is stressed when her tail isn't up over her back when we're out somewhere new. Of course you know your little girl best but I wondered if perhaps she was showing signs of not feeling 100% at the time of the photo session.
