Cash my Tom-Dog
Well you remember first there was the eating something in the yard that landed him for 24 hrs on IV, then there was neutering (not his fault) then the cyst in his eye(also not his fault) And last night when I came home and the boys were running like hell Cash let out a squeel- at first I thought it was just becasue Cash was faster and winning at their play but then he didn't move and kept crying- I rushed over and checked him for thorns but then he started hopping on three legs and and holding his right front paw limp. Off to the vet I go--- luckily he just has a spraign - I feel incredibly lucky becasue it could have been so much worse. The hard part- keeping him from running for a few days...
But since they x-rayes him - I found out that Cash is a little french footed or easty westy is what the vet said - his paws turn out - but she did not think it was chondrodispasia just the way he was built.
Jasper was such a cautious little boy- he didn't jump up on furniture until he was 9 months old and certainly didn't eat anything that he hadn't thouroughly inspected unless it was from my hand and even then if it was a new scent he was cautious. So, since I don't have kids ---this is my first experience with a little tom-dog always getting into something. Hopefully they grow out of it a bit. But Cash is such a sweety- he just let the vet do what she needed to do -- the vet and the tech were gaga over him and he let us take care of him last night (could have been the pain killer) today may be more of a problem.
