Is this dog what I think it is?

Just found this on the Internet. The dog sure looks like what I think it is.

Happy that Hillary was able to go for a nice walk to clear her mind. Now how do I clear my mind?.........take Ricky for a walk!

Margot Gerster poses for a photo with Hillary Clinton on a hiking trail in Chappaqua, New York on Nov 10 2016.

It’s been a rough couple of days for some Hillary Clinton supporters, but a young mother’s story of her walk on Thursday will likely help disappointed voters get back on track.

Margot Gerster, of White Plains, New York, posted on Facebook that she’d been “feeling so heartbroken” since Clinton’s surprising loss to Donald Trump. To get over her blues, Gerster took her baby daughter hiking on Thursday in Chappaqua, near her parents’ home.

“We were the only ones there and it was so beautiful and relaxing,” Gerster wrote.

Someone else had the same idea for making the most of a beautiful autumn day after the bitter campaign season. As Gerster was getting ready to leave, along came Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton, who were out for a walk with their dogs. The Clintons have lived in Chappaqua since leaving the White House in 2000.

“I got to hug her and talk to her and tell her that one of my most proudest moments as a mother was taking Phoebe with me to vote for her,” Gerster wrote in her post, which is no longer public. “She hugged me and thanked me and we exchanged some sweet pleasantries and then I let them continue their walk. Now, I’m not one for signs but I think ill definitely take this one. So proud.”

Guess who took their picture? The former president, Gerster said.

What a great story. The little dog is named Tally and the Clinton's got her about 6 years ago. It is believed she is a Shih Tzu/Poodle mix.

I saw the picture and thought the same thing, but did some research and found they have two dogs. The poodle mix is Talley, a little white doggie and the Havanese lookalike in this picture is named Masie..she is described as a "mutt" but she sure has the Havanese look except for her tail. There are other pictures of her on the web! She has the exact same coloring as my Cassie.

It's funny you researched it too and found the dogs named the opposite of what I found. Either way they are not Havs, but they sure are cute.

Here's a link to a debate about which dog is Talley and which one is Masie...seems the media experts are confused about who is who. Either way, she is adorable!!

Hillary Clinton's Pets - Presidential Pet Museum

I saw another story from last summer that described them as:

"The museum (presidentail pet museum )blog speculates that Tally is a “shih-poo,” a white shih tzu/toy poodle mix.

The Clinton’s newest dog is Maisie, which the New York Times described as a “curly-haired mutt.” Maisie, a gray toy mix, is thought to have joined the household three years ago."

That's my understanding as well. She's cute, though!
