Belton Markings or Freckles?

Oreo (chocolate and white) has always had a few dark spots on his back. Today when I was bathing him, I was surprised to see that there were quite a few more than last time. I have read about Belton markings, but since he is having such a hard time with severely itchy skin, I took a photo to show to the vet next week. In the meantime, I wondered what you folks think?
I have attached the photo... sorry it is so blurry, it was hard trying to take it one handed while holding a wet dog with the other.
Thanks!

Molly's dark spots on her skin correspond to the areas under her white fur where black fur is now coming in (Belton markings). This is probably what is happening here. They show up more when your dog is wet.

I agree with Diane... The photo is a little blurry, but they sure look like belton marks to me!

If one is going to have Belton spots, they aren't all there to start with, and kind of like changing color, you don't know where it will end up.
