First top knot

Back from the groomers and we tried a top knot. Not quite enough hair yet! It is starting to fall out.

Do the plastic clips stay better?

Super cute. If I could do it over again, I would only use clips. The bands (we used non latex ones from Amazon along with pretty bows from Amazon - and BOOMANA!) were such a struggle to get in and out, and, due to Shama's thrashing about, resulted in a lot of hair loss. Maybe if you train your puppy to hold her head still you'll have better luck . . . Lately, we've been not using anything in order to let her hair grow back out. Attached is a photo taken three days ago, just after a trip to the groomer, along with a photo taken today . . .

What a pretty little puppy! So cute. I've tried to use the clips like what is on Shama but I have better luck with the terry ponytail bands. I bought some bows with the french barrette and have tried to attach them to the top knot but I can't make them look right. They hang crooked and sometimes even slide out. So, I've just been using the terry tie. Fortunately Willow will stand pretty still for me and doesn't try and fight it.

To clarify, Shama is wearing a rubber band bow from the groomer in the photo above. I'll try to get a picture of her in a clip for you to see . . .

The only times I've tried clips (and I've tried several kinds) they haven't lasted 5 minutes. When I had just Kodi, I mostly used the Tiny Terries. Unfortunately, the girls just pull them out of his hair. So now I use small bands from Sally's or Cherrybrook: https://www.cherrybrook.com/lainee-l...ct-tube-large/

I like bows on Panda, so I put bows on bands on top of the regular band. I am VERY careful not to cut even ONE hiar when removing the bands, and, yes, I have taught them all to lie still to have their hair put up. I also take their bands out every night, and re-do them in the morning.

Honestly, mine have very little hair breakage, and Kodi has been having his hair put up for 7 years.
