He finally made it to the seat of the sofa

Tux figured out this AM that he can jump up high enough to get on the white sofa sectional. We were eating breakfast when we saw it happen. Tux shot a look at us (butt in the air, head down, eyes fixed into a daring-us-to-do-something stare) and he KNEW that this might mean trouble. He began to zip up and down the seat growling and snarling and basically going "cracker dog". I whispered to my husband to ignore him cause he wanted us to stop eating and rush to the sofa to reprimand (which meant getting more attention).

Our theory worked. As soon as he figured out no one cared, he jumped down and went for his toys instead. I'm sure this is just the beginning. I knew when I picked the color (before I picked the pup) that this would be a fact of life. LOL

Your little Tux is so darling! I remember all the times Kirby thought he was a real comedian! Yes, it is just the beginning, and it's all wonderful!

That reminds me of the one time puppy Shama jumped up to the dining room chair right between DH and me. We were so surprised, and so, apparently, was she. She's never done it since . . . Since we started agility training, where she has to jump up onto a "table," she occasionally jumps up onto our coffee table. We don't mind to much since almost the only thing on the table is a pile of books about the Havanese! Of course we wouldn't want her jumping up onto other people's coffee tables, so we should probably work on an OFF command . . .

Just install a hoop over your coffee table for extra fun. LOL

Yup, good times. This is what you have to look forward to. The take over.

I am still laughing. You have a "team" of sofa invaders. I loved your description, "The Takeover"

You are right they work as a team too. After the "takeover" they both work at knocking the cushions off the couch so they can wrestle or rub and roll all over it.
