Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream

So, I finally bit the bullet and got a new food for Izzo to try. I would like to transition my very sensitive stomach Golden Retriever from Royal Canin to the same food as well. I bought a small bag of Taste of the Wild Pacific stream and let them try it. THEY BOTH LOVE IT!!!!!! I gave them a few pieces from the bag they day I got it and then today I gave them a small bit in their bowls with their regular food. THEY GOBBLED IT UP!!!!! The only thing is, it smells like fish food :/ Hoping for no upset tummies as we transition b/c that is such a mess. Butt baths are NO FUN and having a 88 lb Golden with poops in the house is not pretty!!!! Pray for me!

TOTW Pacific Stream is quite smelly, that's for sure. I rotate it with TOTW Wetlands (their favorite TOTW) and TOTW High Prairie. Is your golden too sensitive to go between flavors?

Yes she is EXTEMELY sensitive. I may try a different flavor with them but they seem to love it.

Hey, as long as they love it, that's all that counts.

Nicole, you may want to try using the eagle pack holistic transition formula with Cassie's new food for a week or so. That's what I used when I brought Santos home since the food his breeder used isn't available around here. The guy at the pet food store recommended it, and Santos never had the runs during the transition.

Nicole,
How big is the Pacific Stream kibble? Is it small like a pea?
Thanks, Gene

No, it's larger than a pea. It's shaped like a little disk and is a bit less than an inch in diameter.

Kim, we don't have Orijen around here and I would have to order it so that's why I tried to find something local. We have a store here that carries a TON of the premium foods, just not that one. Where did you get the Eagle Pack? I may have to call and ask if they carry it. She has a SUPER sensitive stomach but the Royal Canin has stuff I think may be bothering her.

Hey Gene!
No, not small like a pea. That is what Izzo was used to with the Solid Gold puppy and I was worried he wouldn't like the TOTW but he does. It's about the size of 1/2 a dime and is flat disk shaped.
