Overbite and base canines

Dash has an overbite, which is probably contributing to his base canines (lower canines that protrude inward, often causing damage to the upper palate). So far, the lower canines have not damaged the roof of his mouth, but the vet sees indentations. She will refer me to a pet orthodontist.

Have any of you experienced this with your dogs? How was it corrected?

Dash is 6 months old, so his adult canines are probably still growing. Any chance that it will grow outward?

I think there's a chance that can still happen. I'd give it a couple more months

Tucker has an overbite of about 1/8 - 1/4". When he was 4 - 6 mos. old there were indentations. The vet took pictures and sent them to a pet orthodontist. Both said to wait and see. Tucker is now 14 mos. old and everything's find. If anything, the overbite is less than when he was younger.
