Interceptor heartworm treatment

Dash's vet is recommending the once a month Interceptor treatment to prevent heartworms. Do any of you use this treatment for your dogs? Is there anything I should consider before starting it?

That's the one our two dogs use and it is the only one that didn't cause loose stools for a couple of days. They get the flavor tabs, not the chunky chew.

My two are on it-no problems. The pill is super tiny and easy to hide in a piece of cheese.

Thanks! I just wanted to make sure there were no undesireable side effects and that it's worth getting.

My furkids are on heartgard. Definitely necessary to have Dash on one of the trusted heartworm preventatives!

Panda takes Interceptor with no problems - in fact she loves the small tablet that is beef flavored! Down the hatch and no ill effects....
