Sweet Hav

Hi All. Does anyone have an opinion on whether or not the Havanese should have sugar or not? I was wondering the thoughts and opinions on this matter were with the members of this forum. My Wife gave Radar some sweet cereal the other day and I thought perhaps he shouldn't have it. Any Thoughts???

<BG> I just have to laugh because Americans joke about Canadians and their fascination with Tim Hortons!!!

I would say only special occasions. Dora is a meat eater but my maltese goes crazy for sweets especially peanut butter and ice cream... but really bad on their teeth. Think about how often we brush our own teeth v. theirs!

I am from Michigan and we have a few there and now I live in Columbus, OH where Dave Thomas is from and I worked across from the original wendys (it was shut down!) and they had one there. I do love their English Toffee Capps though I just have to laugh because ofcourse the canadians talked about taking their dogs there for donuts <BG>

I train a dog to stack using Corn Pops and when we had all the dog food and treat scares, I switched over to Corn Pops for treats.
They were being little buggers and jumping up for treats and almost taking my fingers with them so now they all have to lay in a down in a semi circle around me for any of them to get treats.
If you're worried about the sugar, you could give them a Pearly White after sweet treats.

CeeCee's fav is watermelon. She can spot watermelon in the fridge from across the room. Nothing else gets quite the same reaction from her ... except maybe salmon
