Phone Suggestions Please?

My iPhone drown today. Who knew a little water was so bad. Not sure I want another iPhone because I never liked the flat screen keyboard. I'm out of contract so I can go and do what ever. Who loves their phone? What kind is it? For my locations I probably need to stay with AT&T or Verizon.

Reminds me of the time I dropped my Ipod in my smoothie.

A friend told me you can leave it in a bowl of uncooked rice overnight -- it absorbs the water. She did this with her Droid and it worked fine after this. (You shouldn't try to use it before doing this, though. It makes the water go deeper.)

When I dropped mine in the toilet and got it out fast I took out the battery and opened it up (flip phone) and left it out to dry overnight. The next day it worked! It started doing some crazy things a few months later but I was able to use it until then. Bought me a little time to decide what to do! I'm not very cell phone saavy so I'm sorry not to have any suggestions on a new one! All I do with mine is make calls and take an occasional picture.

AT&T guy was able to same my contacts to a new sim card, but the iPhone is different from flip phones. My phone is packed in rice for 2 days but no one really believes it will save it. I don't really care but giving it a try, I would like something easier to type on.

I love my Motorola Droid with the keyboard. I can only use Verizon where I live, so the iPhone was never an option. Good luck with the rice.

I have a Blackberry Curve that I love. It's the older model but I am a big fan of the tactile keyboard (i.e. real buttons and not a touch screen) and the scroll ball... and of course, email, which BBs still handle better than any others, IMHO.
Ultimately, it's all personal preference!

Sandi, my Motorola has a regular keyboard that slides out. I like it because I can see the whole screen when doing email or surfing. I think their newest model doesn't have the keyboard, though.
