We have a puppy!

Hello everyone. I signed up several weeks ago for this forum and just now got approved. I'm excited because we sure do have a lot of questions!. We adopted Lizzie off Craigslist from a family that didn't have time for her. They said she was 6 months but the vet thinks she was 3 and now she is 4 months. All of 6 pounds! Her hair was very matted but the groomer couldn't take care of her because she didn't have all of her shots yet. So my mom, sister and myself shaved her down. Her hair is growing back now but she did look funny for awhile. I'm sure she still does compared to your pretty dogs

She is doing great in the last week or two she is becoming quite the stinker. She was scared of a lot at first and I guess she is getting over her fears. She jumps a lot we are working on that. We have a 2 year old and a 4 year old and she is constantly jumping at them. We love her and I hope to get to know you all soon.

Here are a few pictures of Lizzie Lollipop! The last two are from the first day we got her. Before her hair cut.

Excellent photos you got there. Even cuter havanese
Lizzie is adorable (love her do). It sounds like the previous owner did not care for Lizzie very much (matts, vaccines etc.)

Congratulations on your new addition

Wow, thank you for basically rescuing Lizzie. That is a very sad story that she was so neglected physically, emotionally and socially. It sounds like she now has a wonderful new home.
She is a beautiful little puppy! You really have your hands full with a new puppy and 2 very young children. It will be hard seeing that none of the three beat up each other, lol. Best of luck and please post often!

Vinny, Lulu, Gabby and Richie too!

Be yourself, everyone else is taken.

I just love how her ears are flopping as she runs. Our new puppy's ears do the same thing. Your pictures are amazing!

Just subscribing....

My opinion - for what it's worth - is that if I'm told that the puppy I'm buying is a Havanese then I probably ought to be able to recognize those traits that belong to the breed, OR be happy with what I'm seeing.

Again, this is just a personal opinion, but I don't like buying something and then asking questions. Ask the questions before you buy.

NOW, if your pup is everything you want in your new family member then it doesn't make a lot of difference if it's a Havanese or a Shavanese or a blend, mix, heinz59 variety, or ..... All that matters is that he/she makes you smile when you see her.
