Life has been rather distracting lately, Dave. Two jobs, occasional free lance gigs doing wedding flowers and dealing with the challenges of an elderly parent with early stages of dementia have not left me a lot of down time.

Hopefully I will be able to ditch the weekend job at Sam's club before too much longer.

Other than a romp through some wild rose and blackberry vines that left him with a very choppy home done hair cut, Murray is doing great. He is a pleasant welcoming committee after a long day and good company while I read before falling asleep at night. Hard to believe we've only had him for 9 months, seems like he has always been with us.

Great article! Thanks for posting! My brother still believes in the alpha rollover. He had done that with Dickson when we stopped by his house and Dickson was barking. My brother did it so fast before I could say anything. It was Dickson's first time at their house - he was barking at their Akita, who is 7 years old, which he had only met once before at my house. Luna gets along very well with their dog. Dickson eventually stopped barking and played with Kenji. It was his first time at my brother's house, and he was also dealing with meeting a dog for the second time that's 10 times larger. My brother didn't want to listen to me about the training. I'm hoping it didn't have a huge effect on Dickson. I'll be emailing this article to my brother. Thanks!

Yeah life is too busy most of the time. Parents are always a worry. They take care of us and then we take care of them. LOL. Thank God for our dogs ehh. They do bring some peace to our lives. Hopefully life will slow enough so that we can hav you back here more often. We missed you.
