Beamers backed up!

Beamer seems to be backed up the last 2 days. Pooping very little. He has gone 2 times today in total and the were very small!!

Could it be the pain killer meds doing this?

He is eating pretty good though... possibly eating better than before his accident..

Any remedies around tomake him go potty?

Thanks!

Oh yes, pain killers in humans are usually very constipating.

Make sure he is getting plenty of water. You can probably help him with something fiborous - pumpkin (canned), green beans, or carrot pellets (you probably don't have on hand).

My vet recommended to us to sprinkle 1/2 tsp of metamucil or powderede fiber on their food. It always worked wonders for my guys.

Kimberly, what are carrot pellets?
I'm glad to hear Beamer passed his problem

Oliver loves baby carrots! That is the only treat/bribe I know he won't refuse.
I have never heard of pellets before.

Our 3 Hav's love carrots but funny enough, the TFT and Am Esk don't like them at all

Maybe the Hav's are part bunny - explains the way they "hop" around the yard!

Good Stuff Beamer..... give that #2 heck for Radar. Radar has begun having bowel movements that would put a three year old baby to shame...... Sometimes He'll have a Two-For which is a name I like to give it because it's like a "Two-For-One" Poop. He will usually do these when he's had more food than usual and he really need to squeeze out a "Lincoln-Log"....

Man what a Hav......
