Cool LED pet toys, collars, and leashes

I ordered a tool pouch from this site and when I was looking around at the rest of the site I saw "pet". So I clicked on it and I found these. I thought they were cool.

For all the years I had my little schnauzers, I wished for a collar with lights so I could find them in the dark. Now there is one out there and I have dog with a mostly white coat and don't need one. I was born to soon. LOL

I love these so she can play outside in the dark. I think I may order a ball for Piper for her birthday.

Have you gotten any of these for Ruffles?

I had a red light up collar for my previous dog Oreo who was all black on his back. It was invaluable for us becasue we enjoy sitting outside when the weather is nice. Oreo was a bit older than my pups and would stick close by, but he enjoyed wandering around the yard sniffing all that he could sniff.

Things to consider as you weigh your options. Oreo had longer hair (he was a mixed breed) and often his lighted collar was lost to us under the hair. In those cases we would just listen in the direction of his tags jungling until we saw the light again.

If your dogs have longer hair you may want to consider a light (I saw one on the website listed ) that dangles from the collar or can be placed on the back of their harness.

Willow is mainly black so we have the same issues with seeing her at night. She is tiny still so most of the hanging lights are huge to place on her collar. I found a small LED light called Bling Bling Blinkers by Petsport USA at a local specialty pet store. It blinks red, white, blue and is visible 1/2 mile away (according to the package). They have three different color options. A quick websearch shows they can be purchased from Petco or many other venues.

I'm thinking about one of the lighted balls!

No I haven't. But we do walk at night so I might look into something. Maybe the LED leash.
