Talking Dogs

I know lots of you have havanese that make strange sounds etc. like "monkey noises" has anyone ever recorded their pup on video talking?
There is so many video's on the internet of dogs saying things like "hello" and "mom" well the other night I was recording Duke being silly and caught this on camera..

He say's " I don't know" Listen to it a few times with the volume really loud, in a quite space. I showed my boyfriend later that night when we got home and he was a little creeped out!

would love to see some videos of the strange sounds your dogs make!

I heard, "I don't know". I haven't recorded any conversation, but will do so. When he plays is the most vocal time?

Me and my family joke about it all the time now, ask Duke a question and in a rumbling voice say "I don't know".

He is always making funny noises when he plays but lately he has also been communicating with this weird like "growl" It's not a growl but that the closest I can explain in text. More of a inquisitive sound! He will till his head at us and run to where he wants us to go... he might be a tad spoiled but he sure listens to us if we tell him cut it out :P

Perry doesn't do that, but my Mom's Scotty does. we call it his grumble or talking back since he does it especially if he doesn't like what you've asked him to do or if you're not moving fast enough (going out, getting food). Not a growl, but definitely expressing his displeasure! He also has a bunch of other noises that he makes when he is playing or communicating something else to us.

EXACTLY! Talking back totally describes it, It's pretty funny I love all the sounds Duke is learning, he FINALLY started to make sounds when he needs out the back door instead of just stand there in hopes he walk by.. he lets ones little quiet woof it's so adorable and thank goodness because sometimes we are not fast enough in noticing that he need to get outside to potty.

Perry doesn't 'say' anything when he needs to go outside either. He goes to the door then turns and looks at me like I'm supposed to read his mind

Panda is always grumbling under her breath. Someone who didn't know dogs might think she was growing, but she's not. It's just "talking". My other two don't do it.

Sadly, Kosmo the adolescent does not grumble as much. I get the one deep bark for "pay attention!" still.
