glad when the 4th is over

Poor Whimsy is a wreck for the whole week-end. The neighborhood is insane with fireworks. Not just the 4th..but a few days before and a few after.ugh!! We hate it. I took this picture a couple of weeks ago when I knew it was safe to take her outside with out some kid blowing off a firecracker during the day.

Whimsy looks just adorable! It's still light here, but I hear fireworks in the distance already. My friend got Xanax for her Westie! Hope the firecracker's aren't too loud tonight for Whimsy.

Super adorable picture of your pup! So sorry Whimsy is having a hard holiday weekend.

I was hoping Maggie would follow the lead of our other dog, a greyhound that is not bothered in the least by fireworks....and she has. She is currently passed out on the floor, while all heck is breaking loose outside!

Miss Whinsy looks so gorgeous!! I love the holiday photos you take of her! But sorry she has a tough time with fireworks. I'm lucky that Emmie doesn't mind them.

It's so sad to see them so scared. Bodie was a wreck. I had him in his thundershirt which helped a little, but he was shaking so hard. He either stayed in my lap or hid in the bathroom. He keeps looking up to the sky this morning. Poor little furbabaies. 🙁

Kosmo is normally too busy to cuddle, fireworks turned into velcro dog of lore.

I know!! Lily had been barking inside at them until I took her outside to go potty them she saw some huge ones and heard them and went crazy and is terrified inside of them now. Here she is hiding under the table. I'm not sure how she still fits under it.

So sad for you all, and us, too! Tucker is so terrified that I take him out of town to the mountains several days early, and we just got back. I fully expect him to be near- stroke-level the next few evenings, when there are sure to be more. I hate these, and I do have meds for him. Thundershirt helped one year, but them he associated seeing it with "oh, no! Scary things are coming!" and would hide from it, too.

Whimsey is such a beautiful girl! Happy Fourth to you, too!

Milo has been spending his evenings under the bed. It's not easy taking him out to potty at bedtime! He would rather go out at 2:30 am when it's quiet - yuck!
