How to delete photos in the Gallery?

It doesn't look possible to delete photos of our own in the Gallery section, but some have posted they have done it. Can someone post the steps to delete photos in that particular area?

I have figured out how to change the images (and stuck a motorhome in place of one of my puppy pix), but I'd rather just delete mine instead of throwing other images in their place.

Thanks in advance.

Deleting photos in the gallery can only be done by admins and mods. It has always been like this and is part of the forum software. At this time, we are NOT going to be deleting pictures in the gallery. It's time consuming to begin with. I have no way to do it other than going into each of the pictures and deleting it and I just did that for 2 users who had 40 plus pictures.

Let the TOS be rewritten and let things calm down a bit and if you still don't trust what we're doing, we can revisit this issue on a case by case basis.

I know it has always been like this. I used to ask Melissa directly when I wanted a photo deleted, but I do not want anyone else owning my photos. So, since I used to ask her, may I ask you if I give you the links?

I found out how to delete my own album finally and did that, but can't delete the individual images. I started to switch images, but it won't let me change out the thumbnails.

Kimberly, we do NOT own your photos. We do NOT want your photos. We really don't. This will be sorted out. Please give the process a chance. Please.

Well, I own them and I want them.

I am looking for the existing TOU now and cannot find them, but I don't want anyone to even have the ability to take my work and use it for their own purpose - whether they want them or not now.

Money seems to be what talks around here and if you were to get an offer you couldn't refuse for advertising your forum elsewhere (as we all know, the more hits to the pages, the more money you make), then I wouldn't want my work to be able to be used for your profit (or anyone else's either) without my permission. The way the TOU/TOS were reading yesterday, that option was available.

hit on "my albums" and then you can delete the whole album. you cannot delete one at a time.

For anyone that wants to delete their albums, click on the text link Gallery at the top row of text links.

On the next page, click My Albums.
Your albums will be listed and there is an option to Delete the whole album there.

Unfortunately, deleting individual photos is much more time consuming and leaves the thumbnail (the small version) about 75% of the time. To do this:
Go to Gallery
Click on My Photos
Click on the image you want to edit and click the small text beneath it Admin Options: Edit Photo
On that next page, you will need to click the Choose File button to replace the image with something else and Save Changes. You will also need to click the Rebuild Thumbnail which may or may not delete the thumbnail image. (Some of mine disappeared and others did not.)

Kimberly, when I click on my photos, I don't get the Admin Options: Edit Photo.

I just see small sized photos running along the top. What am I missing?

It was hard to find at first...
When I click on the individual image, it brings up a full page with that photo and the following four lines/sections:
Photo Details
Additional Info
Add to Favorites Post a Comment Report Photo Print View Receive Email Updates
Admin Options: Edit Photo
[followed by a Submit button]

Is yours not the same?

When I click on the indiv image, I don't get a full page with the photo.

Although, I remember that long ago, I did.

Is it just me? Or you?
