We had to put Django down this past Friday. He wasn't doing well at the beginning of the week and as things progress, he became very sick by Friday. He has always managed to rally under the worse possible circumstances however it was very apparent he did not have any fight left in him. I too could not make him fight anymore. He was a beautiful dog who touched our hearts for 13 1/2 years and there will never be another Django.

You all have been so kind and supportive during our trials and tribulations and I wanted to thank each and every one of you. This is a wonderful forum and I hope, one day, to return.

So very sorry to hear this...Big virtual hugs to you. We had to put our beloved Apollo to sleep a few months back, he was 13 too. We are quite lost without him and our home has lost its heartbeat. You have my deepest sympathy.

I am so sorry for your loss. Django was a wonderful dog and you were the BEST Hav mama to him. He will be missed. Hugs & prayers (and woof & licks from Emmie). - Jeanne

I'm so sorry for the loss of Django. I know you did everything in your power to keep your little guy going. He was very lucky to have such a loving and caring family. My heart is heavy for you.

I'm so sorry for your loss of Django. What a terrific little guy he was, and you were the best of doggy-moms to him.

Oh my heart is breaking for you. So many people do not understand how painful it is to lose a beloved furry family member. We know how hard it is though. Be at peace knowing that you have given Django a wonderful life gave him the most loving gift at the end.

I am so sorry to hear about Django. We lost our first Hav girl at 13 after a long struggle with health issues, and understand the enormity of that loss. We hope to see you back soon though on the Forum. Havanese deserve good moms. Somewhere out there is another little one needing you!
