Has anyone had their Hav on Apoquel

Izzy is constantly shaking her head and scratching her ears. Also sometimes biting paws.. Been to vet and tried several things for her ears. Didn't help. Her inner ears are ok. Vet just put her on Apoquel. Read some disturbing things online, but trust my Vet. Anyone had any experience with this med.
So happy to be back online. It's taken forever to get back. I feel lost without the support of this group

My cockapoo has severe allergies, the only thing that has worked for her is a very restrictive diet of a rare protein (kangaroo and/or lamb in her case) as well as grain-free. Since she's been on this diet, she's healthier than ever and at 9 years old acts like she's a very young dog, frolicking with my two young havanese at least once a day (3 dogs doing zoomies, no problem).

I should say before we got her on this diet, she had terrible ear, eye, and skin infections and we were having to put her on antibiotics and steroids every 3 to 4 months as well as medicated baths for her skin. She smelled bad, looked bad, and didn't want to do anything but chew herself. It was truly awful.

Thanks for your reply. Izzy is actually on a Lamb, grain free diet. After just one pill, she has stopped shaking her head and scratching at her ears and neck. Vet gave me meds for 7 days. Hopefully this will clear her up, but not sure if I will stay on it after. Reading too many negatives about it. I think for short term it's ok

Molly is on this medicine right now for one week. She was diagnosed with a severe ear infection last Monday and this was one of the meds she was given.
