Were in big trouble now

Thought we were done with hospitals. I spent the afternoon at Stanford Hospital. Fractured my radius and ulna. Who's going to brush and comb the furkids? I tried and it is impossible...It's my left arm and I'm so uncoordinated using my right. This going to be a big problem. 🙁

Geez, Heather, what happened? Skiing accident? (oh wait, like DUUUUUH ) How long will you be in a cast? Looks like you will be taking the furkids to the groomers for their brush-outs for the next few weeks. The three of us wish you a quick recovery. Get well soon.

Thanks for the get well wishes! Silly me made a big mistake. I had been in the yard and noticed some dirt on my foot. Instead of rinsing it off in the bathtub I used the sink. When I turned to bring my leg down I fell and tried not to hit the bathtub surround. Thankfully my husband was home. It hurt! I have a plaster cast for ten days and then they will reevaluate if I need surgery. If it looks ok then I'll get a fiberglass cast. Thank goodness the groomer was here yesterday and shaved Scout's coat. I've already called her and she said not to worry. I'm lucky the groomer comes to the house because I can't lift the furkids.

OMG Heather I'm so sorry about your injury! I can so relate, I had a crush injury to my left foot in mid-August my big toe and second toe were fractured/crushed. I was scheduled to pick my new Hav baby up on Labor Day weekend! My H took a week off after pick up to care for the new pup...But I am on my own as of this morning. I'm in a boot for 2 more weeks, the pup is obsessed with it. He tries to steal it every chance he gets. It is twice his size so it is quite funny to watch.

I hope you heal quickly and without complications that require surgery.

Washing your foot in the sink!? Are you a former member of the New York Rockettes? That's one helluva high kick! I have a hard enough time lifting my leg over the tub! Heather, what are we going to do with you!

Oh gosh Heather, sorry to hear about your arm. Maybe shaving them down for a while will make life easier. I know how painful that sounds, but I have two that need grooming every day or it is a nightmare, grooming will cost you a fortune for the time you will be unable to do it.
