Rosie ran through the wet grass at Nashville. But Last night we sat outside for over two hours. Rosie and Josie played and ran the chickens. they were all over the back yard. I watched Rosie carefully. Finally as I was beginning to give up, she peed. We made a big deal of it and gave her rib eye steak for the treat. So, this morning she went and again this afternoon. Course, I would too for ribeye. I would love to take up the pee pads or at least just have one; but rainy days the pee pads are wonderful. And of course if we ever travel much with her, she can use them. Maybe we are over whatever was the matter.
As to dogs not getting mad--well mad is probably not the correct word. When I was in grammer school, we were taught that animals had no feeling, they just went on instinct. Obviously the writers of the text books at that time didn't have animals. I know that they are jealous, and that they can be "peeved at their owners at times". I really think that Rosie missed the granddaughter. I hope that it doesn't work out like the cockateal that I once had. I left it with my neice while we traveled. When I went to get him, he would not look at me. No matter how hard I tried, he would turn his back. So, the niece has the bird. He is nearly 20 years old and still won't look at me. Course Rosie has no option. she stays with me.
